CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa softball team started its season off right with an 8-0 win over Toledo on Friday afternoon in the Ramada UNI-Dome Classic.
The Panthers hit the ball well to start the first inning. With the first two batters out, Sammey Bunch started the 6-0 run in the first inning by hitting a single to right center field. Pitcher Alyssa Buchanan was the next up to bat who walked to first. Macey Wolfe came up to the plate and hit a line drive double out to right center as Bunch scored and Buchanan advanced to third.
