WATERLOO, Iowa – The UNI tennis team fell, 5-2, to Omaha in its home opener at the Black Hawk Tennis Club in Waterloo on Saturday.
The Panthers dropped the doubles point early, with the Mavericks sweeping all three courts. In singles play, sophomore Emma Carr and junior Olivia Fain notched UNI's sole points against the Mavericks from the No. 1 and No. 5 courts. Carr toppled Madison Gallegos in a three-set battle, winning the first set, 7-5, before dropping the second, 0-6. In the third set, Carr came back to defeat Gallegos, 10-6, to seal the victory on the No.
