IRVING, TEXAS – UNI wrestling placed a school-record 17 wrestlers on the 2021 Academic All-Big 12 Wrestling Team, including 16 on the First Team. The total surpasses last year's total of 11, including nine first-team honorees.
Patrick Schoenfelder was honored for the third time in his career. Kyle Biscoglia, Drew Bennett, Noah Glaser and Derek Holschlag all earned their second consecutive honor.
The number is second only to South Dakota State who placed 20 athletes overall.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.
