Panther wrestling: Happel, Keckeisen finish as runners-up to close out Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The Panthers put in the work with 7 wins over top-25 opponents to wrap up 5th place as a team at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite. Five UNI wrestlers earned a spot on the podium, with finishing as runners-up in the final day of competition on Saturday.

DAY TWO

The marquee matchup of the weekend saw Parker Keckeisen, ranked second in the nation at 184 pounds, face No. 3 Trent Hidlay of North Carolina State. Keckeisen reached Saturday's championship bout after an 11-2 major decision win over Nebraska's Leny Pinto, before falling to Hidlay in an 8-2 decision.
