BROOKINGS, South Dakota - The Panthers faced their toughest match yet against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Friday evening.
UNI Women's Soccer was able to get on the board first but ultimately fell to the Jackrabbits 4-1. The Panthers were held to their second lowest shots on goal total by South Dakota State's defensive presence and speed, only recording 2 SOG. UNI spent much of their time in the defensive zone throughout the game.
Panther forward Sophia Meyers recorded the lone goal for UNI in the 24th minute of the game. It was Meyers first goal of the season and was assisted by Lauren Heinsch.
