IOWA CITY, Iowa – The UNI Panther women's basketball team battled early, but No. 15 Iowa pulled away in the second quarter en route to an 83-57 win Sunday afternoon at Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.
The Panthers built a 12-7 lead to start the game before the Hawkeyes closed the first half on a 9-0 run to take a 16-12 lead into the second frame.
UNI opened the second quarter with a 10-2 run to retake the lead and build a 22-18 advantage, but Iowa responded with a 17-2 run to close the half for the 35-24 advantage at the break.
