CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Uni men's basketball team moved to 3-0 on the season after defeating the Roadrunners of CSU Bakersfield 67-55 inside the Mcleod Center on Wednesday night.
The Panthers struggled shooting the ball in the first half, going just 8-27 from the field and 6-21 from behind the arc. The Panther defense held its own, holding off the Roadrunners 24-22 going into halftime. The Panthers forced seven Roadrunner turnovers in the opening 20 minutes with Austin Phyfe, Isaiah Brown, & Antwan Kimmons recording a steal apiece.
The offense picked up in the second half when AJ Green converted a 4-point play & a three-pointer in 20 seconds to give the Panthers a 41-29 lead with 15:35 remaining in the game.
