• Panther Football continues through the non-conference slate with the second home game of the season. The Panthers host Idaho State for the first time since the early 90s when the two teams played a home and home series. UNI won the two games by a combined 93-21.
•The Panthers defeated Southern Utah 34-14 on Sept. 7 in the UNI-dome behind a strong performance from redshirt freshman quarterback Will McElvain. The first-year starter went 17-25 for 262 yards and three touchdowns to three different receivers. He also ran for 17 yards on eight carries. Trevor Allen carried the ball 17 times for 86 yards.
