ST LOUIS -- For the fourth week this season, a UNI softball player has been recognized for their performance on the field.
Redshirt-junior pitcher Kailyn Packard was recognized by Missouri Valley coaches and SID's for her work in the circle against Missouri State this weekend. Packard was named the Valley's Pitcher of the Week for her start against Missouri State on Sunday afternoon in the Panthers only game of the week.
Packard pitched a complete game on Sunday against the Bears in a pitchers duel with Steffany Dickerson. Through eight inning of work Packard threw 12 strikeouts, allowed just 5 hits and gave up no runs for her fourth shutout of the season.
