AMES, Ia. — The Oklahoma State wrestling team had itself a unique — and successful — Saturday of wrestling here in Iowa.
The fourth-ranked Cowboys began the day by beating Northern Iowa, 20-12, at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls. Then they drove one hour and 36 minutes here to Hilton Coliseum, where they edged No. 19 Iowa State, 16-15.
"That was a tough one," Iowa State coach Kevin Dresser said. "We let one slip away there."
This is the third straight-week both the Panthers and the Cyclones have wrestled the same team on the same day, but the first to do so at different locations.
