The Northern Iowa wrestling team walked into historic Gallagher-Iba Arena and stunned the fourth-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday night.
The Panthers rallied from a 12-0 deficit to defeat Oklahoma State, 19-15. After dropping the first four matches, Northern Iowa won five of the final six to secure just the fourth win over Oklahoma State in program history — but also the second in the last three years.
Northern Iowa, now 4-5 overall this season and 2-2 against the Big 12, last beat Oklahoma State at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls back in January 2020, by the same 19-15 score.
