More than two weeks have passed since it was announced the Hy-Vee Classic would end after 2018, but the news is still reverberating through various basketball communities.
Thursday, it was Doug Elgin’s turn to weigh in.
The Missouri Valley Conference commissioner — who has two schools, in Northern Iowa and Drake, affected by the decision to shut down the neutral site event that pits Iowa’s four Division I schools against each other — didn't hold back:
"It makes me sick, quite honestly," Elgin said on Thursday’s MVC basketball teleconference.
