In hopes of further minimizing the spread of coronavirus, the Missouri Valley Conference has altered its league schedule for the upcoming men's and women's college basketball seasons.
The Valley will continue to play an 18-game format, only now MVC teams will face one another in a two-game series on back-to-back days at the same site. Each institution will play four road series and four home series, while also facing their designated 'travel partner" in a single-game, home-and-home series. Iowa's two Valley schools, Drake and Northern Iowa, are travel partners.
The MVC President's Council met Friday morning to confirm the shift.
