CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—Close matches and tie-breakers were the story of the afternoon as the UNI Panthers tennis team fell 6-1 to Missouri State.
The Panthers posted 6-2 victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots to claim the doubles point and go up 1-0 early. Reghan Lynch and Claudia Toledo kept their match close, while Valentina Caro and Harri Proudfoot never trailed in their match.
Lynch won the first set of the No.1 singles after a tie breaker before falling in three sets to Anna Alons of Missouri State, 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 5-10.
