CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI men's basketball team got a much-needed win on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Fighting Hawks of the University of North Dakota 64-62 in the McLeod Center.
The Panthers made an early run on the Fighting Hawks, leading 14-5 after the first six minutes of play. A game that looked to become a blowout victory quickly flipped scripts.
The Panthers had multiple players in foul trouble in the later parts of the first half, giving North Dakota 20 free throw attempts which they converted into 14 points.
