DES MOINES, Iowa – The UNI men's basketball team took on the #22 Iowa Hawkeyes at Wells Fargo Arena as part of the final Hy-Vee Classic. The Panthers struggled out of the gate and were unable to recover, falling 77-54.
The Hawkeyes got out to a large lead in the first half, leading by as many as 21 points. The Panthers shot just 21.4 percent from the field while the Hawkeyes entered halftime making 53 percent of their shots from the floor.
The Panthers second half shooting improved to over 50 percent, making 14 of 27 shots taken.
