CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa track and field program continued its hot start at the Drake Relays on Thursday, as Panther sophomore Brooke Lorenz finished runner-up in the heptathlon.
Lorenz shined once again in the heptathlon, as the Panther finished runner-up at the Drake Relays after scoring 4,857 points. Lorenz finished second in the long jump with a mark of 17-10, before taking fourth in the javelin throw with a heave of 110-11 to hold on to her second-place finish in the heptathlon. Erica Loussaert turned in a fourth-place finish in the heptathlon, thanks to finishing first overall in the javelin throw with a mark of 119-0, while Lauren Frederick came in seventh and Chaley Rath claimed ninth to round out UNI's heptathlon competitors.
