WATERLOO, Iowa - Lizzie Mewes was named MVC's Newcomer of the Week this week.
"Lizzie has worked hard to make the transition to the college game, and has fit in seamlessly!" said head coach Bruce Erickson of the freshman.
Mewes started both of the team's regular season games for the Panthers totalling 123 minutes of action. She helped the Panthers in middle field, taking the Panthers to a 5-0 win over Chicago State at home.
