UNI soars past Bradley

Maya McDermott and Kayba Laube each scored 21 points as the Northern Iowa women’s basketball team got back in in the win column Sunday with a 67-44 victory over Bradley in Peoria, Ill.

The Panthers (9-7 overall, 4-1 in MVC) led just 29-27 at halftime before pulling away from the Braves down the stretch.

McDermott scored back-to-back baskets to start the fourth quarter, and UNI rolled from there outscoring Bradley, 22-5, in the final quarter, including finishing the game on a 13-0 run.

Ryley Goebel added 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots.
