CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI shot-putter Darius King is set to compete at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in Fayetteville, Ark. after finishing ninth in the NCAA rankings. The men's shot put is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. central time on Friday, March 12.
At the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, King cliched gold and earned all-conference honors in the men's shot put with a toss of 19.77m. King's toss broke the previous MVC meet record of 19.40m and was 0.29m from his school record and personal-best of 20.
