FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – UNI shot-putter Darius King landed 12th with a toss of 18.96m at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. He earned USTFCCCA Second-Team All-American honors for his performance.
King's performance at the NCAA Championships capped a strong indoor season for the graduate student. On Jan. 22, he shattered the UNI indoor shot put record at the Jack Jennett Invitational, recording a personal-best mark of 20.06m. King also clinched the Missouri Valley Conference title with a MVC meet record of 19.77m on Feb. 27.
