Every sport has a play that can completely change the momentum of a game. In basketball it might be a charge taken to interrupt a fast-break, in football a sack to squelch a late-game drive or put a team out of field goal range, but in volleyball sometimes it takes just one swing.
Early in the 2017 season, the UNI Panther volleyball team faced No. 10 Nebraska. It was a neutral site match, but it was played in Omaha, on Nebraska soil. The crowd was decidedly pro-Husker. On just the fifth point of the match, sophomore Karlie Taylor unwound on a ball for a devastating kill that made every person in the gym sit up and take notice.
