AMES, Ia. — This year's Iowa State vs. Northern Iowa wrestling dual was worth the wait.
After weeks of wrestling the same opponents, but not each other — Missouri at Hilton Coliseum; Oklahoma at the McLeod Center; against Oklahoma State, who beat Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls then drove to Ames and beat Iowa State — the Panthers and Cyclones finally matched up and squared off on Sunday here at Hilton Coliseum.
Iowa State ultimately emerged victorious, 23-17. The Cyclones improve to 9-3 overall and have a road dual against West Virginia next week to end the regular season.
