For our next home UNI men's basketball game on Wed., Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. vs. Illinois State, UNI will be offering free admission to anyone that brings a donation for the United Way's Iowa Foster Care Program in Black Hawk County.
The UNI United Way committee is hosting a donation drive to benefit teens aging out of the Iowa Foster Care Program in Black Hawk County. These young adults move from place to place, often with nothing but a few clothing and personal items to their name.
In the month of January, the following types of items will be collected: laundry baskets/bags, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, fabric softener, hangers, shampoo, deodorant, soap, lotion, duffel bags, towels, washcloths, blankets/throws and any other items you think a young adult starting on their own might need.
