CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – After a week of practices at the 93rd annual East-West Shrine Game, Northern Iowa's Daurice Fountain has risen above all others to generate a thunderous buzz among NFL scouts.
The 6-1, 210 wide receiver has been one of the most talked-about players heading into Saturday's Shrine Game (NFL Network, 2 p.m. CT), after turning in highlight-reel-worthy production at this week's practices in St. Petersburg, Florida.
"I think I'm more athletic than a lot of these guys. In my pre-testing, I broad-jumped 11-1, and (recorded) a 40-inch vertical. I'm not going to say my 40 time, but I can tell you it's pretty fast," Fountain told College Football 24/7 writer Chase Goodbread on Wednesday.
