The Northern Iowa wrestling program has added a new member to its 2020 recruiting class — and he’s from the Sunshine State.
Ethan Basile, a rising senior at Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida, announced his commitment to the Panthers with a tweet Tuesday night. He becomes Northern Iowa’s second 2020 commitment, and projects at 149/157 pounds.
“It’s been my dream to wrestle in college since I was 5, and now it’s finally becoming a reality,” Basile wrote in his announcement. “I’m extremely pumped to announce I will be attending the University of Northern Iowa to wrestle for Doug Schwab and the Panthers!
