CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI quarterback Theo Day has earned national recognition following his week four performance, earning College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) FCS National Performer of the Week honorable mention recognition, as announced on Sunday morning.
Day, a redshirt senior out of Canton, Michigan, threw for 337 yards on 21 completions with four passing touchdowns in UNI's 44-41 win over No. 19 Youngstown State on Saturday. He also scored one rushing touchdown as the Panthers secured their first top-25 win of the year to open Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) play.
