ST. LOUIS – UNI freshman kicker Matthew Cook was 3-3 on field goals and 3-3 on PATs Saturday in rainy conditions at Missouri State to earn Missouri Valley Conference Special Teams Player of the Week Honors.
The freshman opened the scoring for the Panthers with a 49-yard field goal to put UNI up 3-0 in the second quarter. He added a 22-yard field goal minutes later to give UNI a 6-0 lead. In the third quarter, he again hit, this time from 38-yards out, extending the Panther lead to 22-0.
He was also 3-3 in PATs on the day.
