CEDAR FALLS, Iowa-- Sophia Conant (Hastings, Neb.) and Jami Reichenberger (Wichita, Kan.) have been named the MVC Newcomer and Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference.
In her third appearance for the Panthers, Conant made a big impact for the Panthers looking for their first win of the season. In the 87th minute against a tough Colorado State team, Conant flicked the ball in on the right side of the net. This was Conant's first goal of the season.
Reichenberger continued her strong defense of the Panther goal, deflecting six shots on goal from Colorado State.
