Iowan Kurt Warner's astonishing rise from grocery store stock boy to Pro Football Hall of Famer is the inspiration behind an upcoming movie that's expected to hit theaters in December.
Warner announced the film, tentatively titled "American Underdog: The Kurt Warner Story," Wednesday morning on Twitter.
Born in Burlington, Warner attended Regis High School in Cedar Rapids before playing football at the University of Northern Iowa.
