Northern Iowa’s West Gym is about to be busy.
Coach Doug Schwab has scheduled his rising wrestling team a difficult November, which opens with triangular duals on Friday, Virginia Tech visiting next week and Old Dominion coming to Cedar Falls the week after.
The plan is to have a rejuvenated Panther program ready and healthy to break into the NCAA’s top 10 by March — something the program hasn’t done in 25 years.
“You can go back to the last couple years. Have we performed like we wanted to? 100 percent no,” Schwab said at media day last month.
