It’s been a wild decade of wrestling here in Iowa.
It began with the Hawkeyes and Cyclones on top. At the 2010 NCAA Championships, Iowa won what was then its third-straight national team title, while Iowa State took third. It marked the ninth time in the last 11 seasons that both schools finished in the top-10 at the national tournament.
The rest of the decade saw varying levels of success for both squads while the sport’s popularity grew to heights not previously imaginable.
The Hawkeyes secured top-five NCAA finishes every year from 2010-19 and crowned 57 All-Americans and nine national champs along the way.
