MANHEIM, Pa. – UNI wrestler Dylan Peters earned a spot on the National Wrestling Coaches Association's Division I All-Academic Team.
Awarded annually, this year's NWCA All-Academic team comprises 123 student-athletes. For the second year in a row, half of the Division I champions made the team, while two additional runner-ups were included. In all, 36 All-Americans, including Peters, were All-Academic selections, which is up from last year's 28.
Of the 123, 108 of the student-athletes qualified for the NCAA Division I championships, up from 96 in 2014-15.
Peters suffered a severe injury in early December, but he fought back to take second at the MAC Championships and earn his third trip to the NCAA tournament.
