Forward Courtney Woods of the women’s basketball team earned Mid-American Conference West Division co-player of the Week, according to a Jan. 30 Intercollegiate Athletics press release. Woods averaged a double-double in two games last week.
Woods averaged 27 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. She shot 57 percent from the field and 53 percent from beyond the arc. The Huskie junior scored 17 points and pulled in 10 rebounds against Ohio.
Against Ball State, Woods pulled in a career-high 15 rebounds and scored a game-high of 37 points. This game was her team-leading fifth double-double of the season and fourth career game scoring 30 points.
