The women's basketball defeated the Ball State University Cardinals 93-83 Saturday afternoon in Muncie, Indiana.
The two teams played pretty much even in the first, third and fourth quarters. A big second quarter where the Huskies outscored Ball State 23-13 was all NIU need to grab the Mid-American Conference win.
Senior guard Mikayla Voigt put up a game-high 37 points followed by junior guard Myia Starks with 19. Sophomore Riley Blackwell grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
The Huskies record now sits at 14-8 overall and 6-4 in the MAC. They will return to action 6 p.
