DeKALB – Eleven days without a game resulted in a sluggish start for the Northern Illinois women's basketball team.
In the second and third quarters, it was back to high-scoring business as usual.
After a rough shooting start, Northern Illinois heated up and held off a late rally by the Eagles for an 85-73 win at the Convocation Center.
"I think we haven't played int two weeks, it kind of took everyone a little time to get back into the rhythm," NIU guard Courtney Woods said. "Once we figured out we used to play, we played fast.
