The women’s basketball team picked up its fourth Mid-American Conference win Saturday, beating the Eastern Michigan University Eagles in overtime 68-65.
This was the second time the Huskies needed to go into overtime this season, previously beating Brown University 109-102 in double overtime Dec. 31.
The Huskies struggled to start the game, shooting only 28.6 percent from the floor and were forced into commiting six turnovers. EMU also struggled scoring with only 13 points on 5-12 shooting in the quarter.
The poor shooting from both teams kept the game close as the Huskies trailed by four going to the second quarter 13-9.
