Week two of Spanish soccer concludes with high scoring game

DeKALB — Week two of La Liga play wrapped with a seven-goal galore match between F.C. Barcelona and Real Betis on Sunday at Barcelona’s Camp Nou.

In Madrid, Real Madrid C.F. was unable to carry its week one victory momentum into week two when it hosted Real Valladolid on Saturday. The match ended in a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu.

One goal was enough to separate Atletico Madrid from CD Leganes as the Rojiblancos took a 0-1 away win at the Butarque.

Barcelona vs. Betis

Real Betis took the lead 15 minutes into the match with a goal from forward Nabil Fekir who slot a left foot shot past Barcelona’s goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
