DEKALB – The Northern Illinois University woman’s volleyball team clinched the MAC West championship with a clean sweep of the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 25-12, 25-16, 25-19. They’ve now won 15 of their last 16 matches.
The Huskies (20-5, 12-1) were dominant on the attack for most of the match, including posting hitting percentages of .483 and .440 in the first two games. Huskies coach Ray Gooden used the third game as an opportunity to make personnel changes and get a few of his players some more experience headed into the MAC tournament.
“As we are headed to the tournament, all hands are on deck,”Gooden said.
