The women’s basketball team hosts Ball State University Wednesday to close out its regular-season home schedule. It will also be senior sight for the Huskies, as they will honor senior guard Mikayla Voigt before the game.
Voigt leads the Huskies in scoring in her final season at NIU, averaging 19.5 points per game and is in consideration for Mid-American Conference player-of-the-year. She has set new conference and program records during her historic season.
Voigt broke the MAC record for points in game scoring 52 points Dec. 8 against Western Illinois University. She also sits in the top ten in program history in scoring with 1647 points in her career as of March 5.
