Six Northern Illinois track athletes qualified to compete at the NCAA West Regional May 27 in Lawrence, Kansas.
Kedisha Dallas will compete in the 100-meter dash and the 200, Hope Schmelzle qualified in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Chennel Palmer will compete in the high jump, Kelsey Hildreth made it in the 10,000, LeTristan Pledger will compete in the 100 hurdles and Cheyenne Hoerrr rounds out the group in the 400 hurdles.
“We have a strong group of student-athletes that qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary. The staff will take technique issues we saw at the MAC Championships and work on improving those for NCAA regionals,” NIU track and field director Connie Teaberry said.
