DeKalb — Junior jumper Jehvania Whyte continued her strong start to the season as she broke her own school triple jump record for the third week in a row, jumping 12.57 meters Saturday at the Black and Gold Premier in Iowa City.
Head Coach Connie Teaberry said she praises Whyte on her dedication to improve this season.
“She just decided this year that this is a goal she has to represent her country and to represent NIU,” Teaberry said. “She’s actually made a lot of sacrifices with her nutrition, her study habits, time managements and her workouts to give everything she has.
