DeKALB — Three members of the NIU Track and Field team won events Saturday at the Indiana State Gibson Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Head Coach Connie Teaberry said she was proud of the athletes and their performances.
“Today we had another great day of weather and performances,” Teaberry said. “In the events we contested the athletes brought their ‘A’ game.”
Junior multi-event runner Remy Amarteifio took first in the 100-meter hurdles, with a time of 13.73 seconds. Amarteifio edged out Indiana State sophomore multi-event runner Ayanna Morgan by 0.05 seconds.
Amarteifio tied the meet record with her 13.
