DeKALB – Northern Illinois sophomore cornerback Shawun Lurry continues to make program history.
After breaking several school records this season, Lurry became the first Huskie defensive player to be named to the AutoNation first team All-America by the Football Writer's Association of America (FWAA). The only other Northern Illinois player to make that All-America team since 1944 was running back LeShon Johnson in 1993.
"It's an honor but I know that I'm not done yet" Lurry said. "I still got my junior year to go – and my senior year to go, if I decide to stay.
