Softball won its seventh consecutive game when it defeated the University of Wisconsin Badgers from the Big Ten Conference Tuesday in Madison, Wisconsin.
Key hits in the seventh inning and a solid performance from sophomore pitcher Alex Frenz propelled the Huskies (28-18, 13-8 Mid-American Conference) past the Badgers (29-14, 8-11 Big Ten), 6-4.
“That was a gutsy pitching performance by Alex working out of some jams,” said Head Coach Christina Sutcliffe. “Our offense did a great job being aggressive on the bases and capitalizing on clutch hits. Jordyn [Bowen] leading off the seventh was the difference maker for us pulling through.
