DeKALB – For the second time this season, the Northern Illinois women's basketball team erased a double-digit deficit against Ball State.
Only this time, the Cardinals had enough punch down the stretch.
In a game that the Huskies struggled to convert near the basket, Ball State went on a critical run late in the fourth quarter in a 92-84 victory over Northern Illinois on Saturday afternoon at the NIU Convocation Center.
The Huskies (18-7 overall, 11-3 in Mid-American Conference West) trailed by as much as 14 late in the third quarter and were down, 78-69, with 5:04 remaining.
