DeKALB – The Northern Illinois women's basketball team will start the second half of conference play with a doozy.
Eight games into Mid-American Conference play, the Huskies are tied atop the standings with Ball State as the two teams battle for driver's seat position in the West division when they play at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Muncie, Indiana.
The two teams come into the game 7-1 in conference play after winning on Wednesday – the Huskies blew past Kent State, 93-72, and the Cardinals earned an 89-75 road win at Buffalo.
"Every time out is a measuring stick for us," Northern Illinois second-year coach Lisa Carlsen said.
