Trailing in the fourth quarter, the Northern Illinois women's basketball team started the final frame scoring 16 straight to take command in an 89-80 win at Buffalo on Saturday.
Courtney Woods scored eight of the points on the 16-0 run, including back-to-back 3-pointers to close the run for the Huskies (17-6 overall, 10-2 Mid-American Conference). She finished with 19 and was 3 for 4 on 3-pointers in the game. She also had 10 rebounds.
Ally Lehman led the Huskies with a game-high 29 points and 14 rebounds. Mikayla Voigt scored 17 and Kelly Smith scored 14 before fouling out.
