The Northern Illinois women's basketball team turned a 14-point Toledo lead into a five-point dfecit late in the fourth quarter, but couldn't get any closer in a 66-59 loss in Toledo on Saturday.
All nine players for the Huskies (8-8 overall, 1-4 Mid-American Conference) scored in the contest, led by Kelly Smith’s 18 points on 7 of 17 shooting before she fouled out. It was her bucket 3:19 left that pulled the HUskies to within 61-56, But the Rockets (9-7, 4-1) added a bucket 20 seconds later, then neither team score until 18 seconds were left in the game.
