For the second game in a row, the Northern Illinois baseball team was on the wrong side of a lopsided loss.
The Huskies fell behind early and lost 17-4 at Murray State on Thursday after falling 17-0 to Boston College on Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Racers (3-2 overall) scored five runs in the first and six in the fifth, while the Huskies (0-5 overall) scored all four of their runs in the sixth inning.
Northern Illinois junior Joe Hawks (0-2) took the loss on the mound, allowing 10 hits and eight runs – six earned – in 3 2/3 innings.
